Looks great! How long did this take you to do?

Bi-Polar-Bear responds:

Thank you :) I spent about 2 months on this, with the help of another animator and a lighting artist

Why do folks go to art school if they are already really good? Most art jobs don't require schooling, just skill. I always wondered about that especially since art school is 10 of thousands of dollars and you get out into the real world thousands of dollars in debt where you learned how to do something you already technically know how to do. Just never got it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWWCpuqV4c0 Just reminds me of that video.

Anyways with that said...I LOVE Technical Dave. This one of my favorite series. So fun, inciteful and just plain cool. I love your art, timing and storytelling ability.

Raziberry responds:

Hey thanks a lot! School teaches a lot of skill that would be hard to do on your own, though, and can really help provide a community of artists and instructors to give direction and focus to your work.
Not everyone needs to go to art school to make a career of it, not even close, but it really helped me.

Nelson man, where you been all these years. You started all this stuff! Good to see you back posting it up again. Please say you are around and making new thngs.

nelsonhurst responds:

yes I'm back. I've been busy making a living for the last few years. Now I'm ready to animate again.

Wow that was pretty epic. I just wondered though why it took 7 months for the short length. Point really is I'd love to see more of your work but I could only imagine how long that would take but wow, great work!

Shollis responds:

consider the amount of layers were made, if i wanted to apply dialogues and limited animations this would have lasted much much more

@Depthcharge

Okay Depthcharge, the guy who posted this is the actual author. I spend alot of time at CGtalk.com and Newgrounds. I told him he should go and post his work at Newgrounds as I thought his work was awesome. So he posted his SWF trailer and hopefully start posting the 4 other episodes he has.

So for anyone else please do not assume he did not do this. People do more than flash animation and since Newgrounds is a place to post everything by everybody I suggested it to him.

It is great work and I can't wait to see more and more episodes. Can you Imagine he does this once a month - 1 1/2 months. :)

Great work!

Thurist responds:

Hey Guys,
I'm still getting the hang of this site, but I can assure you that I am the original author of this work. I'm currently working on the new webisode so time is again not on my side but if there is anything I can do to proof my honesty, please let me know. My email: joeri.christiaen@pandora.be thx

thx theflog and yeah I'm gonna try to stay within the month this time :-)
and to Homero4real; yeah, they sure will die, .. in fact plankton would be the first species to leave the buidling, .. thats why I chose them as the characters.

Grts,
Joeri
